    Why I can't copy and paste these settings in my BIOS? There is a potential danger in doing so? I guess especially for the 1.45 voltage

      Way too high for daily runner, those are settings for a benchmark run and nothing more. Good daily settings are all 5Ghz/4Ghz and v core 1.2-1.3V max. Also every CPU is a bit different and results may vary so you need to find the sweet spot between temp & clocks for your PC.

      @@AthameGQ So I can take all the data from Skatter and lower any Core Ratio Limit to 50x? And then limit voltage to 1.3 instead of 1.45?

    • @AthameGQ
      @AthameGQ 17 годин тому

      @@SerapOkay-e6q Yes exactly, thats a good start point, run occt after and check if it's stable and temperatures if stable then you can go down on voltage or increase multiplier by 1 then test stability again. You dont want to go over 90C in stability tests.

    hey, will you be over clocking the granite rapis72 core? I ask because im going to be upgrading my system after they release, and so far, the highest base clock speed ive seen on the lineup, is the 72 core xeon 6960 I think is the class. and it has a base of 2.7 or 2.8, im thinking I should be able to get hopefully 5.3 or at least 5.0 stable. what are your thoughts?

    Good job. You seem really smart & good at overclocking. Maybe you can look into the rarer stuff like Lenovo laptop AMD APU overclocking & TDP modding the BIOS as to add additional functionality. I plan on boosting my Lenovo Ideapad 110-15ACL & 320-15ABR to 35W from 15W with thermal paste arctic silver ceramique 2 with pulling the blue pwm wire to run fan at full speed overclocking the discrete GPUs & over-volting the discrete GPUs AMD RADEON R5 M430 2GB DDR3 & AMD RADEON 530 4GB GDDR5 with hex modding the SoftPowerPlayTable. I hope you start buying laptops like mine & show us how to improve the performance of the AMD A8-7410 2.5Ghz & A12-9720P 3.6Ghz Quad Cores. By disabling APM & forcing the clocks to full speed via TDP mod & AMDMsrTweaker & Piledriver K15TK. I specifically looked up the platform specifications & ordered the motherboards for each laptop by buying for parts laptops & ordering the boards for so cheap like 50 bucks for the a12-9720p and heatsink on ebay. Later.

      The 22% refers to the maximum improvement in benchmark performance as shown in the video

    Yo compré una de estas placas con el i9 11980 final, pero he percibido un problema, el procesador sistema inyecta 4 watts mínimo permanentemente, incluso si está en plan economizador., hice mil configuraciones de Undervolt, desde la bios y con el programa Throttlestop, pero permanece consumiendo esa cantidad de energía, no entiendo, tengo otra placa i9 y consume mínimo 1 watt en ahorro de energía, se nota que está fresca, pero esta placa inyecta permanentemente 4 watts al procesador, es normal?, tristemente creo que este problema acortará la vida útil del procesador, es lo que yo entiendo.

    Cool! That's awesome work. I used your guide to OC my 8600G. It's funny how much power 8 little 4nm compute units can pull xD. Also, using dual-rank memory gives about 10% more performance compared to single-rank kits at the same frequency. Here where I live we're lucky to have access to Hynix OEM memory for excellent low prices. +50% or more to performance after total OC is amazing. The new Strix Point APUs, Ryzen AI300 series (what a dumb name), will those end up on desktop? Are those future 9700G and 9600G? They will have 16 and 12 CUs.

    This is probably the most accurate and detailed video on how to overclock a low end GPU that I've ever seen. I watched it while (still at the moment of typing this) I wait for this same GPU to arrive sometime today. I mean, same GPU, same brand, same model (I don't think there is any other from Gigabyte on this tier), so it was both incredibly illustrative at a design level and at how to overclock my GPU should I want to/need to (I'm gonna be running this on PCIe 3.0 because that's what I have, so I'm quite curious even after watching all kind of reviews and ending up here). The hacking part was interesting but absolutely impractical to do such overclocking, which I imagine you know already but it's worth mentioning. I don't know how much that controller costs but between that and the watercooling solution cost I'm pretty sure you can get a 3050 for cheaper and get around the same performance boost or a bit more without even bothering to overclock. As for the final observations, limits on higher end cards from AMD are much bigger for over or underclocking and this card is a modern time VERY ENTRY level card which for the use I give to it and the cost (around 150 USD) I paid, will be fine for me. But for extreme performance gamers who use high refresh monitors and all details to maximum and QHD resolutions I feel the specs of this card were kind of an insult, being accustomed nowadays to commodities that are - not without reason - took for granted. However there wasn't any other affordable, current technology, that could do "okay" or "fine" with games (I mean around 60FPS@1080p with acceptable settings) in the market for YEARS. I believe that was the AMD's approach with this GPU, I think they got too much heat for it and I also think that casual gamers got discouraged by online hate reviews towards this card. Am I right? We'll know when the product arrives. It does have a 30 day return policy, though. Regards and nice video.

    Question, is the reason you're setting the curve optimizer to a positive offset because of the CLK increase of 7%? And did you test if it's possible to run that without effectively increasing the voltage at all? Just curious.

    • @SkatterBencher
      @SkatterBencher 14 днів тому

      Yes, correct. Using the ECLK shifts the V/F curve along the frequency axis, effectively running a higher frequency at a given voltage. A positive curve optimizer shifts the curve along the voltage axis, forcing higher voltages. That's what was needed to get the overclock stable.
